Assassin snails are named this because they prey on other snails! If you have a pest snail infestation and are wanting help getting rid of them, assassins are a great choice (it's also recommended to ensure you aren't overfeeding your tank, though). These are peaceful with everything except for snails and (occasionally) dwarf shrimp. They can reproduce in the home aquarium, but they do so much more slowly than other snail species.
