Corydoras sp. (CW169), also known as the Vinkelpansermalle, is a fascinating catfish species.

These delightful species hail from the wild of Colombia, specifically the Rio Ariari region.

Appearance: Their color pattern is reminiscent of Corydoras axelrodi and CW021. Their key distinguishing feature is the black patch on the cleithrum (cheek)

Lineage: They belong to Lineage 9, which includes the “short-snouted” Corydoras species. The designated type species for this lineage is Corydoras punctatus.

Aquarium Care: These catfish are incredibly peaceful and thrive in a community tank. Consider housing them with small to medium-sized tankmates like Tetras, Rasboras, and Danios. For optimal happiness, get at least 6 individuals as they enjoy company. Their diet should include a mix of granular foods, tablet food and frozen bloodworms with high quality flakes.
