  1. Size: The maximum standard length of this species is approximately 2.2 inches (about 5.5 centimeters)

  2. Diet: Corydoras melanistius is omnivorous and easy to feed. Offer a good quality sinking pellet or tablet as the staple diet. Supplement their diet with live and frozen foods such as DaphniaArtemia, and bloodworm.

  3. Behavior and Compatibility: These corys are very peaceful and suitable for community tanks. Avoid keeping them with large or aggressive tankmates. Ideal companions include small characins, cyprinids, anabantoids, dwarf cichlids, and other peaceful catfish. Remember to maintain them in groups of at least six, as they’re more confident and active in the presence of conspecifics
