Description

The Danio quagga, commonly referred to as the Orange Finned Danio, is a species of Danio native to the Chindwin River drainage in western Myanmar.

  1. Temperature: Orange Finned Danios thrive in aquariums with a temperature range of 18°C to 24°C (64°F to 75°F). Maintaining a stable temperature within this range is essential for their well-being.

  2. Minimum Size Tank: Provide a tank with a minimum size of 20 gallons (75 liters) to accommodate a group of Orange Finned Danios. A larger tank allows for better swimming space and encourages natural behaviors.

Feeding Habits: Orange Finned Danios are omnivores. They readily accept high-quality flake food, pellets, and live or frozen treats such as brine shrimp and daphnia. A varied diet ensures optimal health and coloration.

Habitat Preference: Orange Finned Danios are native to freshwater streams and rivers in Southeast Asia. Recreate their habitat with a well-planted aquarium and open swimming areas. Provide ample hiding places and consider a substrate of fine gravel or sand.
